I trully enjoy this TV and it's quality Samsung HDTV LCD LN40B550 and would recommend it to othersGet more detail about Samsung LN40B550 40-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV with Red Touch of Color.

Got this TV to replace my non-digital TV in the kitchen. It is compact and has a good picture even though I'm not using it with an HD cable box, just a digital converter from the cable company. Haven't tried the DVD player yet, so not sure how that will work. I have been very pleased with my Toshiba purchases in the past, and this time is no different. The product is good but the guy who deliever did not even open the box and take it out. We late found out it was a openned box and then called Amazon customer service. They said they are willing to give $40 for that and I said it was too little since we don't know what would have been done on the tv and it cost more than $2000. Then he forward the call to the other department of Amazon and said they might give us better reimbursement but the lady at that department even said it was not their fault and would not compensate anything! I have to spend more than 30 minute to argue with them and mentioned that it should be some kind of white glove delievery and eventually get the $40 back. I am kind of afraid to place another order from Amazon!Get more detail about Sony BRAVIA V-Series KDL55V5100 55-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD TV, Black.

I purchased this TV for a friend of mine after spending a few hours viewing the Samsung and LG LED's. I hooked it up for him and spent a few hours viewing and tweeking and generally getting him comfortable with the operation of the set. I am a fan of the Samsung LED tvs but to my eyes the Sonys colors looked a tad deeper and the depth of field also looked deeper and devoid of video noise and artifacts. I also noticed on the Samsung there were some strange artifacts on the outside edges, kinda looked like a very translucent ribbon about an inch wide, running from top to bottom. These are very minor quibbles but I thought the Sony was a bit more refined. I can tell you that this TV looks absolutely stunning on Bluray (Sony BD560) and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone. Once again, I really like the Samsung but I thought the Sony was a much better value. Just my 2 Cents worth... Just like the other 2 Samsung TVs I have, this one did not disappoint me. Great picture, good TV for the bedroom. It took me about 30 minutes to hang it on the wall with the Peerless PA740 Articulating Wall Mount. I highly recommend it. Get more detail about Samsung LN37B530 37-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV.

I do not have a source for HD, but simply wanted a nice big flat screen for regular satellite TV. I found this one to be very adequate. Other reviews knock the sound quality a little. I found it to be less than fantastic, but not bad at all. The only disappointment I had was the "sound leveler". I thought it would eliminate loud commercials and variations between channels. Apparently it was not designed to do this.Get more detail about Panasonic VIERA X1 Series TC-P50X1 50-Inch 720p Plasma HDTV.

I love my new TV. It is the second Samsung I have purchased and will continue buying Samsung TV's in the future. The picture is great and I am enjoying all the extras. I was not too happy with the delivery service provided in Rhode Island. They didn't want to take it out of the box and plug it in to see if it worked. I told them that if they didn't make sure it worked, that they could just take it back. Get more detail about Samsung LN40B650 40-Inch 1080p 120 Hz LCD HDTV with Red Touch of Color.

I did the typicall homework before making my selection, and based on what I wanted to spend and what I wanted, this was it. This is my 1st HD TV and I was very pleased with the results. I would have received an "A" for my homework, Great picture! (sound will be soon coming through my Onkyo sound system) I know there are others out there, but I don't know how anyone would be disappointed with this TV. I think this is a great TV, but what impressed me most was that I ordered it on a Sunday night and Thursday afternoon I was helping the truck driver (from Raleigh NC) set it up in my living room. I could not have been happier with the way it all played out. We took it out of the box, he put the stand on, hooked it up and once I saw the great picture, I signed for it.Get more detail about Samsung LN52B630 52-Inch 1080p 120 Hz LCD HDTV with Red Touch of Color.

I'm just amazed at the quality of the picture in HD.
The color and the picture is so rich and vibrant you don't even want to watch the regular channels.
Even the picture in SD is sharp. Better than I expected.
The sound is excellent from it's four speakers and 20 watts of power.
The border around the TV is slim and sleek, so when it's hanging on the wall it doesn't distract your eyes from the picture.
When you decide to buy this TV, make sure you purchase a Blu-ray player. The picture and sound will just blow you away.
Thanks Sony for making such a great product.
I'm very pleased with my purchase from Amazon.
I would recommend this TV to any one.
Thanks Amazon for a spectacular price.

This TV has a great picture. I did a lot of research before selecting plasma. I really don't have problems with it being too dim, looks great. This TV is amazing. This is the TV to buy for many reasons.
I bought this TV because whenever I go to a store that sells TVs, the Samsungs always have the best picture quality.
This particular model is not only a dream TV, but is also the best value for any TV:
The 52 inch model of this TV is way more expensive than the 46. Not worth it unless you really want a really huge TV.
The 37 and 40 inch models are almost as expensive, so you might as well get the 46.
The 46 inch model of the Samsung 650 line is way more expensive than this TV. That is a lot of money for the 120 Hz you probably won't use.
The 550 models are slightly more expensive than the 530's, but the super clear gloss screen makes the 550 the better choice.
Plasmas are cheaper, but LCDs are more reliable, lighter, and I think they have better pictures (from good viewing angles).
I bought this TV as an open box item from Amazon Warehouse Deals. I got a super good deal because of surface scratches I'll never care about. The TV has minor scratches on a corner of the bezel and the remote also has a small scratch. The scratches are so light that I could buff them out using a rubbing compound. I won't bother though because I can't even see them unless I am like 6 inches away.
I would highly recommend Amazon Warehouse Deals. I just checked and right now they are sold out of their imperfect open box LN46B550 TVs. That is not a surprise.
I could write many pros about the TV, but why bother.
Go to a store and compare the screens of the big TV's.
Samsung TVs are always the best.Get more detail about Samsung LN46B550 46-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV with Red Touch of Color.

After spending a month or so sifting through all of the latest models and such it came down to this or the Sony Bravia 40". When there was a sale (thanks Amazon!) down to 899 I couldn't say no and picked one up. First of all, I had no problems whatsoever with the delivery company. Actually it was this little old couple so I helped put it up on my table and they were very patient making sure that all parts worked, the stand was put together, and that we had a signal with no dead pixels so big thumbs up for CEVA from me at least.
The TV does everything it claims. I agree with many of the other reviewers that Samsung could have done SOMETHING other than hiding the buttons behind the glass. Not a dealbreaker by any means but I have had to develop the ninja touch without looking or else find the remote. The various settings allowed me to get it just right in no time at all. Having moved up from a tube tv this is an AWESOME set for sports and movies. Football season just got a whole lot better. I can't tell if the 120hz makes a big difference or if it's just going from regular to HD on Sundays.
Highly recommend for other buyers. The number of HDMI ports makes it very accessible for multiple game machines and my Cable/DVR. No glare when the sun is coming in the windows, MUCH better than what I saw on several sets at the local Best Buy. I purchased the Samsung LN26b360 new from Amazon because I have two other, larger Samsung LCD digital TVs and I like the brand. This one, with its 26 inch screen is the largest that will fit in a nice cherry entertainment center that I purchased 20 years ago and was made for the older CRT TVs. The Samsung was easy to set up right out of the box, its digital HD and SD pictures are crisp and clear, and it is lightweight. I have a UHF/VHF antenna on the roof and use that with the Samsung's ATSC tuner to get more than 26 local channels. Then simply by switching to NTSC channel 3, I use it to watch the various channels available on my Dish Network satellite box and delivered to the Samsung via an NTSC modulator. (I watch the Dish network HD channels on the larger Samsung through an HDMI connection, and could use the LN26B's HDMI connection if I wanted to). My only complaint is that the sound quality is a mite tinny, and not as rich as on the larger Samsungs. It really doesn't matter, however, since I have routed the sound output from the back of the LN26B to the stereo amplifier input of my sound system -- also located in the Cherry entertainment center, and listen to the TV sound through the stereo system.
This is an excellent TV value for the money. I recommend it highly.Get more detail about Samsung LN26B360 26-Inch 720p LCD HDTV.

Amazing tv !!!!, Excellent picture quality, easy to use, and comes with a lot of features !!!!, the only flaw is the sound, but is not a big deal ,if you buy this you should have a surround system.Get more detail about Sony BRAVIA W-Series KDL-40W5100 40-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV.

I purchased this TV from Samsung 3 months ago, and it had issues from the start: the audio output only channelled sound to one external speaker. Apparently this is a common problem. They should have recalled the TV. Next, the video input from HD cable became defective. So, there was no HD picture coming through from my calbe box. Now, I had paid $2000 for the TV, extra $ for HD cable, and I am getting subpar, blurry TV. Hmmm. By this time, The Amazon 30 day warrantee had expired. Samsung folks are really nice on the phone, but in terms of getting service repair-men out to fix your TV. . . lets just say, they are suboptimal. I was assigned to 4 different repair companies before I realized, no one will fix this defective issue. Very frustrated. Very angry. Will never buy a Samsung product again. My children all have various types and sizes of the new HD type TV's so I build on their experiences and saw what their TV's were like in a real home environment. I decided on a Sony and settled on the 46 inch size and the best price I could find.
I'm very pleased and satisfied with this TV. The colors are great, the sound is wonderful, even without a home theater system. It was easy to set up and connected to my DirecTV HD DVR and has been working fine since. Installed on Sept 22.
Delivery was by R&L trucking and that was the only hitch. It was delivered on the very last day of their estimate, and even though they had committed to deliver before 1:30pm because I had another appointment, they were late and I had to call their dispatch twice to get their driver on the ball. The box had a fist sized hole in it, but the content was not damaged.Get more detail about Sony BRAVIA Z Series KDL-46Z5100 46-Inch 1080p 240Hz LCD HDTV.

I waited until we owned this Panasonic TC-P42G10 Plasma TV for a few months before reviewing. Picture quality is just phenomenal! Along with the picture being extremely sharp the colors on screen are brilliant and vivid thanks to the black level on this TV which really makes the picture pop. I researched for weeks before purchasing this HDTV to find the best quality picture for the money and thus far we have not been disappointed. My only regret is not purchasing the 50 or 54" version of this TV. If you are looking to purchase an outstanding quailty HDTV at a great price point you can't go wrong here.
I read many are articles about Plasmas and one thing I believe everyone should NOT do is adjust their contrast above a level of 50 until they have at least 100 hours of use. I adjusted my contrast to 48 and it is still set at that level today. At some point in the future I may adjust our contrast level higher but for now picture is sharp and images pop with the level at 48.
I purchase alot from Amazon but I had reservations about purchasing a large piece of Electronics from them because of the individual shipping involved. I have vistited a couple of FedEx sorting facilities and have seen flat screen TV's laying on their side with other packages stacked on them. Those images, burned into my mind, made it really hard for me to order the TV online knowing that shipping would be involved and how well the carries handle our packages. I read that Amazon uses CEVA Logistics for shipping and I researched them and I did not find very many good reviews from either Dell or Amazon users. I ordered anyway because we get 30 days to return items. I placed my order and believe it or not 2 days later I had my TC-P42G10 set up in my home. I did however go to the CEVA shipping office to pick up my set. I wanted to check out the facitity like I did for FedEx to see how they handle their freight. To my suprise the facility was well organized and each and every package, which they were all large, was placed on shelves and storage racks. I saw no boxes stacked on each other and everything was well organized. I picked up my TV and there was not even so much as a scratch on the box!!!... I was very impressed with the CEVA shipping company and I would not hesitate to buy large Electronics from Amazon knowing that they use CEVA. CEVA gets and A+ in my book, FedEx gets a B- at best and UPS gets a C at best.
Bottom Line: IMHO you definately can't go wrong when purchasing a Panasonic TC-PxxG10 TV. You will love the exceptional Picture quality, I can't speak to the sound of the TV because I have a home theater system and we don't buy these TV's for their sound. For me shipping is not a concern after visiting the CEVA shipping office and my experience with this purchase.Get more detail about Panasonic VIERA G10 Series TC-P42G10 42-Inch 1080p Plasma HDTV.

Samsung Plasma is the best HDTV for the price on the market. Forget the war between LCD and Plasma. You can not compare the picture qualities between the two. Plasma shows much more depth and natural lighting. The picture looks sharp and real. On the other hand, LCD looks sharp, shallow, and fake - due to little light, and hence, barely lively. Samsung makes the best Plasma for the money. Pioneer makes a little better plasma but cost twice for the same size TV.Get more detail about Samsung PN50B550 50-Inch 1080p Plasma HDTV.

The TV is great and all the features are great, but the HDMI has a control feature that will cause a little conflict with function. I just turned the control off and all is well. I would recommend this TV.Get more detail about Sony BRAVIA V-Series KDL-46V5100 46-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV, Black.

2 weeks. We purchased this TV from Amazon and have had it replaced twice due to a couple of issues:
- 1st Delivery - Horizontal lines showing up and sound was going out
- 2nd Delivery - HDMI inputs are failing to pick up a signal. Screen is turning a pink hue. Sound is going out intermittently.
I have purchased many Sony products like TVs, Camera, Computer, and DVD players so I have faith in the brand. I just don't have any faith in this particular model.
We are very frustrated to not have a properly functioning TV after 2 months and paying over $1550.Get more detail about Sony BRAVIA V-Series KDL-52V5100 52-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV, Black.

I am really happy with this TV. It has a great menu interface, specially the favorite button that allows you to switch inputs in a matter of seconds. The picture quality is just awesome. Very good contrast and deep blacks. The auto-brightness sensor is also useful, as it adjusts to room lighting automatically.
One of the good things about the TV is the low energy it consumes - 180W. I have a pretty sophisticated power monitoring setup in my home. If you watch the TV in dark, this consumption automatically goes down, as the light sensor lowers the brightness.
I have my Mac connected to the TV, and I use Plex/Boxee as my primary Cable-movies-video-audio source, and trust me it looks wonderful on this TV.
For the price and features, I couldnt find a better TV. I spent around 10 days researching every TV (~1000) and I must say I am glad I chose Sony V series.
A very very confusing thing is to visit the store and compare TVs. It is crazy. You wont have 5 different LCDs in your living room, so stop comparing them on 5% difference in brightness.
Another thing that might help buyers like me is that, more brightness (which is what impressed me at stores) is not necessarily great. I just finished calibrating my TV and had to turn the brightness, contrast and backlight way way down than the factory default, to get the right experience from Movies and my Mac. So trust me, do some research and you will learn, why more super bright isn't necessarily great and to make it worse, it consumes much more energy.

FIRST OFF, I'M NOT AN AUDIOPHILE OR VIDEOPHILE. I'M INTELLIGENT, CONSERVATIVE AND WANTED A MEDIUM PRICED, GOOD QUALITY LCD HDTV. I WAS NOT CONCERNED ABOUT ALL THE FRILLS ON THIS TV EVEN THO I WILL OF COURSE UTILIZE SOME OF THEM. I WANTED A TV WITH A SMALL FOOTPRINT FOR IT'S SIZE, EXCELLENT RESOLUTION, GOOD SOUND QUALITY EVEN THO IT IS HOOKED UP TO A BOSE SURROUND SOUND SYSTEM. I FOUND THE SETUP WAS CLEAR AND EASY. TV GUIDE SETUP A BREEZE. THE PICTURE QUALITY IN HD IS FANTASTIC. I COULDN'T RATE IT HIGHER! I FOUND THE BLURRING ISSUE MINIMAL WHILE WATCHING SPORTING EVENTS (FOOTBALL & BASEBALL). I WAS ALSO HAPPY THAT IT HAS THE UPDATED BRAVIA ENGINE 3. I MADE A WISE CHOICE WITH THIS TV AND I AM VERY PLEASED.Get more detail about Sony BRAVIA W-Series KDL-52W5100 52-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV.

Yep 4 days in... while watching the final Pirates of the Caribbean movie, one long horizontal strip of pixels flickered then went black. Permanently. I loved the TV up to this point and I have been extremely careful about leaving it on and/or pausing the images for too long. Getting the exact model scares me at this point since it didn't even last 4 full days. I'm waiting to see how Amazon handles this situation and I will update my review/post accordingly. Wish me luck, Amazon is usually great.Get more detail about Samsung PN50B650 50-Inch 1080p Plasma HDTV.

I bouight a 52 inch Samsung LCD television. I have rarely used my television in the last year and a half I have owned my TV. I called the Samsung toll free number as my television has many clicks before it will switch on. No problem if it is warmed up and then turns off and on. Now, I will have to pay a repair man to come, or drop it off to be repaired. I was not able to have an answer to my question regarding . . . whether this is a common problem with SAMSUNG?
